Dancer of the Year 2012

My name is Holly Stevens, I have been dancing with Miss Jacie for 11 years and this year I had the honor of being crowned Dancer of the Year. This honor was unexpected and greatly appreciated. Over the years dance has become a significant part of my life, I am a Concert Dancer and a Baton Twirler. I realize the importance that practice plays in becoming a competent dancer and I make every effort to attend as many classes as I can. I enjoy the camaraderie of dance and try to bring my best to every class, competition and recital.

I attend McDowell Early College and I am in my Junior year. I also am a member of the McDowell  High School Cross Country and Track Team. I started running in the seventh grade and realize the benefits gained by running pay dividends in dance class. I especially enjoy the time spent with my team mates in track as the friendly competition  in practice prepares me for my meets.
